About you

Due to ongoing growth we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a wealth of experience, predominantly in the Petrochemical and Oil and Gas industries. The ideal candidate will have the ability to independently execute projects as well as the willingness to develop a growing team.

Furthermore, you will be highly experienced in technical mechanical engineering, have highly developed skills in designing piping, pressure vessels, tanks and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, on small/medium size greenfield and brownfield projects.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer, capable of working with a close-knit team of engineers, designers and project engineers to deliver projects to Verbrec's and clients' standards. As a professional engineer you will offer:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry
  • RPEQ certification and CPEng (desirable)
  • Diverse range of mechanical engineering skills, including design and operation of pipeline, pressure equipment, rotating equipment or tanks
  • Experience to carry out mechanical engineering design and documentation from initiation through to construction stage,
  • Experience working in oil and gas facilities or similar manufacturing industries,
  • Experience using AutoPIPE, AutoCAD or other design programs,
  • Experience generating engineering budget estimates and quotations,
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines,
  • Degree or equivalent experience/qualification is mandatory
