About the opportunity


The Surgical Access Office (SAO) at Mercy Health for Women Heidelberg is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated administrative officer to join an experienced team as Surgical Access bookings clerk/theatre reception on a Permanent Full-time or Part-time capacity.


This role will be responsible for:

  • Clerical, administration and data integrity of planned surgical waitlist
  • Responding to phone enquiries from different stakeholders
  • Booking, scheduling and notification of patients' appointments and procedures
  • Administrative task as directed by Surgical Access Manager
To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Prior computer experience with the use of IPM
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fast learner, flexible and have excellent attention to details
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
