  • Experienced in all areas of project cost estimation and quantitation, including development of cost plans, budget forecast, bench marking exercise, risk and contingency calculations and value management?
  • Systems/process oriented and able to advise on best practice project bench marking, cost planning/management to support the delivery of complex programs of work?
  • Skilled in undertaking independent quality assurance review and provide technical authority to support project due diligence?
  • Someone with excellent attention to detail, who is thorough, accurate and able to build stakeholder confidence?
Accountabilities

  • Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
  • Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
  • Managing projects or subprojects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/subprojects within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.
  • Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
  • Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet, and agency submissions on complex matters.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
  • Be responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and delivering projects using internal or external resources in accordance with relevant legislation, government regulations and guidelines.
  • Undertake all project management activities in accordance with departmental processes and the VHBA Project Management Framework.
  • Oversee all project activities ensuring deliverables and standards of excellence are achieved on time and on budget.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
