Your role:
Anglicare Victoria provides foster care for children and young people who are temporarily unable to live at home.
Anglicare Victoria is the state's largest provider of foster care and plays a vital role in protecting children and young people by ensuring they have a safe and nurturing home while their family cannot care for them.
In this role you will coordinate placements for children and young people that will support their development and meet their needs in a safe and secure environment.
About you:
- Experience in child, youth and family welfare, with particular experience in Out of Home Care is highly desired.
- Sophisticated understanding of the legislative, policy and practice environment of Out of Home Care or a passion for learning.
- Skills and experience in supervision of carers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in case management.
- Well developed organisational skills.
- An understanding of, and capacity to act accordingly to the principles and intent of the Children, Youth & Families Act 2005.
Qualifications:
A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, and/or a related degree in behavioural sciences, with substantial experience in the relevant service stream.
What you need to know:
- A salary at SCHCADS level 5 which equates to around $94,000 plus super
- Flexible through the increments up to to 5.3 (dependent upon experience)
- Based at our office in Broadmeadows
