The Roles

We have an immediate need for Consultants in Canberra with outstanding Engineering skills and experience in the Defence Industry. These roles are in our Service Delivery Team, where you will provide engineering consulting services to our clients. We are after a diversity of skill levels in this speciality, and while consulting experience would be great, we can help you to develop those skills if you haven't consulted before.

Our Ideal Candidate

You are experienced in technical planning, system integration and verification and validation activities. If you have delivered these types of services in, or to, CASG or other Defence clients in the past, we would love to have a chat.

As a Defence consultancy, we also need you to be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.

Required skills and attributes include:

  • A Bachelor or equivalent level qualification in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical / Mechatronic, Systems Engineering, or other relevant Engineering field)
  • Experience in Engineering processes preferably in a Defence environment
  • Humanistic, with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Great listener, excellent communicator and dedicated
  • A proven track record of delivering quality outcomes

Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory):

  • Experience in the One Defence Capability System (formerly known as the Capability Life Cycle)
  • Defence land, maritime or air domain sustainment or project experience
  • Maritime Combat Systems experience would be highly regarded
  • Systems Engineers with experience in the development of artefacts within the One Defence Capability System would also be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of the defence industry and the ASDEFCON suite
  • Above the line support directly to the Commonwealth
