Responsbility

Responsible for the safe conduct and successful outcome of ABT projects in conformance with governing requirements.

Manage project delivery, technical compliance and customer satisfaction.

Manage direct, indirect and external resources.

Manage supplier delivery of prototype and pre-production hardware including non-conformance, deviations and Pre-production approval process (PPAP).

Act as a technical authority.

Education & Licenses

  • Bachelor of Engineering accredited by Institute of Mechanical Engineers (or equivalent).
  • Industry recognition from Engineers Australia as Chartered Engineer (CPEng) desirable.
  • Evidence of successful project delivery. Project management certification (Prince / PMBOK) beneficial.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modelling and 2D drafting to AS 1100 (or similar).

Typical experience

  • Lead direct and indirect team members.
  • Proficient at project management including evidence of delivery.
  • Management of direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks.
  • Design, test and certify to Australian and international standards (ADR, AS, ECE, MVSS, CE).
  • Manufacture at prototype and production levels achieving quality objectives.
  • Strong hand calculation capability with engineering experience in:
  • Mechanical structures.
  • Hydraulics.
  • Thermodynamics (heat transfer).
  • Metallurgy.
  • Tribology.
  • Structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation for stress and modal is desirable.
