About the role

  • UGL are currently seeking a suitably qualified
    HSE Advisor to support one of our clients and sitebased team on an established offshore gas platform. This role will commence in May 2024, on a casual basis for a professional with extensive LNG/Brownfield exposure. You will work a 15/13 roster, FIFO from Perth, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1. Implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to the project.
  • 2. Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • 3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE requirements into project plans and activities.
  • 4. Provide HSE training and induction programs for project personnel, emphasizing the importance of safe work practices.
  • 5. Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations and standards.
  • 6. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
  • 7. Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment with HSE standards and expectations.
  • 8. Foster a culture of safety consciousness and environmental responsibility among all project team members.

Qualifications:

  • 1. Diploma in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • 2. Proven experience as a HSE Advisor in the construction industry, particularly on brownfields projects.
  • 3. Knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
  • 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct effective training sessions and toolbox talks.
