Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator/General Labourer to join our team at a galvanising work site.

As a Forklift Operator./General labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials within the facility, contributing to the overall productivity of the operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials within the facility.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Organise and maintain inventory in designated areas.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of materials to workstations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues to the maintenance team.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate records of material movements and transactions.
• Assist in the preparation and handling of materials for the galvanising process.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling and organisation.
• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the work area tidy and safe.
• Support the galvanizing team by moving materials between workstations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of material movements and transactions.
• Willingness to learn and crosstrain in various roles within the facility.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Valid forklift operator's license/certification.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material handling.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
