We are seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to work in our 30-bed Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical, and Plastics Ward part-time. This role involves working on a rotational roster.

The Moreland Ward at John Fawkner Private Hospital focuses on Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery & Plastic Surgery and is in search of a skilled Registered Nurse with exceptional interpersonal skills and a dedication to providing top-notch patient care to join our established nursing team.

Supported by cutting-edge technology and a recent $55 million upgrade, we provide state-of-the-art surgical, medical, cancer, coronary, and intensive care services. Renowned for complex surgeries, our Critical Care Complex stands out as the only one of its kind in Melbourne's northern suburbs, offering intensive and high-dependency care post-surgery.

• Facilitate a learning culture for continuous improvement
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with our VMO partners to achieve high-quality patient outcomes
• Provide clinical operational guidance for the unit to ensure efficient management and delivery of evidence-based nursing care
• Manage human, financial, and material resources effectively on a daily basis
• Coordinate and lead clinical audits and quality improvement efforts
• Provide direct patient care when necessary

Selection Criteria:

• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Working with Children Check
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in orthopaedics, neurology, or surgery
• Ability to work rotational night shifts
• Prior experience as ANUM, shift manager, or clinical nurse specialist (desirable)
• Postgraduate Degree in relevant specialty area
• Strong clinical knowledge
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrate positive role model behaviors
• Strong customer focus, time management, and prioritization abilities
• Capable of managing a dynamic and evolving environment
• High level of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases
