Laboratory Assistant

Permanent Part Time (32 hrs per fortnight)

About the role


We are looking for a motivated person who, preferably, has knowledge and previous experience in Specimen Reception responsibilities in a diagnostic Pathology laboratory.


This position is suited to a person who has an understanding of Pathology, will be flexible to work a variety of shifts, and can work within a multi-discipline team.

This position is based at Angliss Hospital. You may also be required to work at Box Hill or Maroondah hospital laboratories.

The Angliss Laboratory operates 24/7. Laboratory Assistants are required to work day, afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:
VCE or qualification in Pathology

A strong commitment to high quality care

The ability to work as part of a diverse team

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Previous experience with an understanding of medical terminology is desirable

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.
