Our school is located just 18kms north of Brisbane CBD in the suburb of Bald Hills, well know for its leafy green streets and bushland surrounds.

About the Role
As the Head of Special Education Services, you will have an Equity and Excellence lens when leading your portfolio to:

  • Lead the school Inclusion Portfolio, develop teachers, students and stakeholders to articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Be an active participant in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
  • Be futures oriented and strategic.
  • Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students with disability.
  • Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the unit to achieve goals.
While the Head of Special Education reports to the Principal, you will closely collaborate with the school Leadership Team.
