Due to continued growth, Montefiore is seeking to appoint a passionate aged care professional to the position of Quality and Compliance Advisor.


Reporting to the General Manager of Quality and Compliance, you will possess expert knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the accreditation process.

Primarily, you will be responsible for keeping abreast of aged care industry reform and the expectations of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.

You will collaborate, consult, advise, and support key stakeholders and the wider organisation regarding legislative changes and contribute to the planning and implementation thereof.

A snapshot of key accountabilities under your remit will involve:

  • Advising on quality, compliance, and governance across residential care services
  • Preparing all sites for accreditation visits
  • Conducting high level site audits
  • Preparing for and coordinating the implementation of Aged Care reform
  • Coaching and consulting with Managers in quality and compliance improvements to build capacity and capability


To be successful in this role, you will champion quality and compliance initiatives and be driven by excellent consumer focussed quality care.

Furthermore, you will demonstrate high attention to detail, enjoy utilising your analytical skills, along with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Ultimately, you will be generous with your knowledge and thrive in an environment which promotes and embodies a collaborative style of working.


Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications to support this position
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in Aged Care
  • Previous experience in a governance or quality role
  • Expert knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation process.
  • Experience interacting and managing Aged Care Commission accreditation within an aged care Quality and Compliance role
  • Ability to foster a cooperative and supportive work environment
  • Strong knowledge of Quality systems and processes including implementation of Continuous Improvement and consumer engagement
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Intermediate to advanced level of computer literacy including knowledge of databases
  • Willingness to travel to other sites as required
