On behalf of our client which is a well established Health Service in coastal/reginal southern NSW we are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a well established and supportive Allied Health Team which is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team within the hospital, providing quality social work services to patients/ clients of the service in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the health and wellbeing of clients referred to the service
  • Participate in quality improvement activities for patients and their families
  • Contribute to workplace education to contribute to improved care for patients / clients and their families.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and a commitment to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal people.
  • Work independently as a practitioner in the provision of the social work clinical service.
  • Assist in the development of procedures and guidelines as required to promote standardised evidence based practice.

About You

  • Completed Bachelor or Masters of Social Work
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Demonstrated effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work / caseload across a regional area.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to provide evidence based practice relevant to clinical discipline.
  • Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain.
  • Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.

Remuneration Package
Based on Experience Social Worker Grade 1, Grade 2 or Grade 3 as per the Award with casual loading.
