The Role

Customer Remediation

In order to ensure the Bank operations are compliant across the; product-offering, processes, systems and communications, the Remediation program has been tasked with the remediation of breaches that have impacts to both staff and customers. This program sits within the Program Delivery & Optimisation portfolio, which provides support across;

  • Business and Consumer Banking Products
  • Operations
  • Lending and everyday banking Systems
  • Front-line Bankers

For context, remediation of a breach follows a standard remediation life cycle:

1. Investigation of Breach

2. Rectification of underlying issue(s)

3. Remediation and Repatriation of impacted customers

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution and delivery of the Remediation phase of the lifecycle.

Specifically responsible for;

  • Identifying customers that require remediation for a given breach through the analysis of underlying data sources.
  • Review core Lines of Business remediation activities
  • They will support and oversee customer repatriation activities, ensuring this is done in a timely manner whilst ensuring data quality and integrity is maintained at a high standard.

Essential skills & Experience:

  • Product (Business lending and Everyday banking) analysis
  • Data analysis

o Scenario based analysis to identify and confirm impacted customer sets

o Develop detailed understanding of historical and legacy data structures

o Create detailed data extracts of (Eligible customers, Calculations and key payment files)

  • Undertake Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities

Candidate Qualification:

  • 7+ years as a Data Analyst
  • Financial Services experience
  • Knowledge of Westpac data warehouse and tables preferred
  • Experience in end-to-end Project delivery
  • Agile experience preferred
  • Remediation experience desired
