The opportunity:

KBR's Land Team is currently seeking an experienced Technical Spare Assessor to support our Integrated Soldier Systems Branch

In this position you will:

  • Manage the conduct of Technical Spares Assessment across the organisation
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to complete Technical Spares Assessment.
  • Perform moderately complex to complex mechanical technical activities and associated tasks working to agreed priorities and outcomes.
  • Provide Support to Repair Parts identification and Codification activities, including liaison with National Codification Bureau
  • Development of Complete Equipment Schedules
  • Undertake and oversee Technical Investigations and Technical Instructions relating to platform systems, including support to RODUMs
  • Work both within and to the requirements of the Authorised Engineering Organisation
  • Work to the requirements of Contractor Engineering Management Plan
  • Assist with preparation and/or review of work instructions and maintenance schedules
  • Conducting work to a high standard, including work on technical publications
  • Working within Certification Standards and established industry practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer and supplier contacts
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and assistance to team members including junior levels as and when required
  • At times provide assist with conduct Test Drives of Heavy Vehicles in accordance with Civilian Licenses and Defence qualifications
  • At times act as observer for two up test drives
  • Provide support to Technical Investigations
  • Have an Australian Government security clearance of NV
  • Qualified in Technical Trade/Maintenance with minimum of 4 years' experience (mandatory)
  • Certificate IV in relevant trade or technical field (Minimum qualification)
  • Associate Diploma or higher in relevant trade or technical field (preferred)
  • 4 years' experience in a Defence or related technical industry related to maintenance activities (Highly Desirable)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Medium Rigid driver's licence and Defence Vehicle Driver Qualification (Desirable)
  • Handson experience in configuration management practice, including experience with Configuration Management Tool-Lan (CMT-L)
  • Demonstrated understanding of Defence Technical Regulatory Framework requirements (Highly Desirable)
