The Role:


Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be instrumental in providing leadership and strategic content direction across the organisations marketing initiatives.

Work with a small team of creative specialists and oversee the ideation, creation, and cultivation of content for all platforms to ensure brand consistency and success in meeting the organisation's objectives.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the creative process from brief to completion, helping the team meet deadlines, offering clear instructions, briefs, direction, and feedback.
  • Work closely with the creative teams in the production of all marketing and communications collateral.
  • Maintain strong relationships and collaborate with the business streams to support the successful delivery of marketing and communication needs.
  • Manage and lead the production of content that inspires a greater understanding of and appreciation for the work we do across all our services and communities we support.
  • Develop and implement an overall yearly content strategy including content distribution plans to increase Mercy Community's profile which deepens and enhances our brand and relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Build and support a creative culture of storytelling and innovative, effective execution.
  • Collaborate with coworkers and come up with fresh, creative content ideas, keeping our audience in mind.
  • Deliver internal and external newsletters, Annual Report, website, social media, enews, and other communication assets as required.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on all activities and initiatives undertaken.
  • Work closely and provide support to the Manager to develop strategies, deliver tasks and manage project work.

About You:


To be successful in the role you have extensive experience in a similar role either from an in-house or agency environment, along with tertiary qualifications in Communications / Journalism / Advertising or related field.

You will have highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely, and appropriately for specific audience groups.
