THE OPPORTUNITY


The Technical Officer supports the preparation and maintenance of learning environments to meet specific technical purposes and performs a range of associated administration and support activities to assist in education program delivery.

The role is responsible for the care and maintenance of animals/livestock, relevant to the section, in accordance with animal welfare ethics.


ABOUT YOU


We have an exciting opportunity available at our Bankstown campus and are seeking an enthusiastic individual who has a demonstrated passion for animal welfare.


You will thrive working within a team environment and are able to connect and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within the community.

You have experience in maintain stocks of consumable items, keeping appropriate records and can assist in ordering/purchasing equipment and materials to ensure provision of appropriate learning aids and resources.

ESSENTIAL REQURIEMENTS

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate IV or above in Animal Care, Veterinary Nursing, or other relevant animal industry qualification
  • 3 or more years of extensive industry experience in Animal care
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience of use, care and maintenance of tools, equipment, materials, and techniques used in trade/vocation/skills area applicable to the role.
  • Proven ability to create, modify or adapt equipment or other resources to meet requirements.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work as a member of a team with mínimal supervision in area relating to the role.
  • Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
