We're seeking a future team member for the role of Associate to join our Payments Operations team. This role is located in Australia, HYBRID.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Processes funds transfer or settlement instruction in accurate and timely manner to ensure adherence to payment cut off time and SLA, escalate issues as needed. Investigates differences in cash processing and performs settlements and reconcilements.
  • Researches and resolves client inquiries. Executes all correspondent requisites in a timely and accurate manner with an understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs.
  • Adheres to and completes regulatory and compliance monitoring and reporting, as required.
  • Serves as an escalation point for data processing issues and provides input on quality improvement process.
  • Provides product knowledge, market practices and requirements and technical assistance, as necessary.
  • Assists in collecting US tax documentation for IRS requirements
  • Participates in business initiatives including new projects. Completes setup and user acceptance testing of the file transfer process and connectivity with clients.
  • Responsible for the quality and completion of own work and support the actional tasks assigned by senior team member or manager. May review and check work of other Client Processing Support staff and help resolve escalated issues
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

Qualifications:

  • High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 15 years' experience in financial services or payment processing role preferred.
  • Good communication, organizational teamwork, interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of local payments systems (i.e. Austraclear), as well as SWIFT payment system preferred.
  • Effective time management skills and able to manage end to end process in high volume days.
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy in processing in a timely manner.
  • Enthusiasm and willing to learn with "Can Do" attitude
  • A strong team player and be able to support others.
  • Be flexible with working hours, able to support later hours when required.
