THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of TAFE NSW Furnishing team located at the Newcastle campus. This is casual opportunity, perfect for professionals looking to jump off the tools and into the classroom.

ABOUT YOU

You are passionate about sharing your extensive experience in the flooring and furnishing industry and supporting the next generation of student learners.

You will have robust communication skills; you are able to work autonomously and collaborate with a team to deliver the best learning experience for your students.

You are empathetic, relatable and understand the uniqueness of every student and how to cater to their learning needs.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Flooring Technology or equivalent
  • Three (3) years relevant postqualification industry experience within the last 35 years, with at least one (1) years' experience in an Australian workplace context
  • Hold a Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent

Desirable:

  • High level experience working within the one or more streams of the Cert III in Flooring Technology qualification: Carpet, Vinyl, Timber, and Polished concrete/resin.
  • Ability to work in an office environment.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft office.
