Wenona is seeking a competent and multiskilled TAS Assistant to provide support in our vibrant, well resourced and dynamic TAS Department.
They will be willing to support the values of the School as a global learning community.
This is a permanent part-time position (4 days per week), ideally commencing Term 1, 2023.
This position reports to:
Head of Technology and Applied Studies
Key priorities
- Assist in the daytoday operations of the TAS Department providing assistance to teaching staff, resource organisation and administrative support including ordering, processing of resources and ensuring equipment is in safe working order
- Assist, particularly in the workshop environment alongside teaching staff
Education and Experience
- Tertiary qualification desirable
- Very good level of organisation and planning
- Very good skills across a range of design areas, including workshop technologies
- Construction skills which will enable the support of senior students in the completion of more complex project work
- Experience with new technologies such as laser cutting and digital technologies is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
- IT skills and the ability to complete online orders and keep dept resource records etc
- Experience working within a school environment is desirable.
- Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check

- Excellent organisational and time management skills including ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Very good communication skills
- Able to work independently and with initiative in a collaborative work environment.
- Calm, professional, positive demeanour
- Adaptability and willingness to support the culture and values of the School.
