Mechanical Fitter/Mechanical Assembler

We are looking for the following skills:

  • Able to determine BOM accuracy from drawings/designs and advise changes where necessary.
  • Ability to pick parts and assist with ordering when required.
  • Ability to interpret and modify drawings when required.
  • Experienced in the set up and adjustment of metalworking machines and equipment. Specific experience using lathes, milling and guillotine machinery preferred.
  • Able to accurately fit and assemble metal parts, tools, or subassemblies.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments to determine the accuracy, clearance and fit of assembled and fabricated metal parts.
  • Able to test and evaluate designs if required.
  • Able to check accuracy and quality of finished machinery, parts, or subassemblies.
  • Able to dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Able to evaluate a final product's overall performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Must be able to operate equipment and carrying out all work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Knowledge of filling or capping machines is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Pneumatics an advantage.

You possess Australian recognised trade qualifications.
