We're looking for a UX/UI Designer who is excited to work on our beautiful suite of digital products (app and web platform) which reach our global user base.

Our app is loved by users from around the world, and our digital education platform is in classrooms all across Australia.


You are a passionate and creative designer, who believes that accessible and impactful digital experiences will be key to realising a generational change in Australia's mental health; especially for kids.

You will have a genuine passion for public health, and an enthusiasm for implementing design solutions which support positive outcomes for all our users, especially kids.

You will have experience in interface and experience design, especially for native app and web-based products.

Working closely with the Product Managers, your goal is to ensure a great user experience and to deliver on our organisational OKRs.


You will be focused on learning about our digital products, deeply understanding our users and their needs, conducting user research, creating user-friendly wireframes, journey maps and prototypes, and seeing them through to finished designs.

You will also be responsible for the development of the digital product style guide and associated documentation.


Please note, this role is initially a contract position until the end of 2023, which we hope we will be able to extend.


Qualifications:

  • Is a natural problem solver and strategic thinker, who can collaborate and create efficient and effective processes to deliver on the strategy.
  • Has a strong analytical mind and ability to break down problems to design appropriate solutions.
  • Can operate autonomously in solving problems
  • Has an inquisitive nature, with a high degree of curiosity. You love to collaborate and share your knowledge with the wider team.
  • Has solid communication skills (written and verbal), with a positive attitude to problem solving and ability to work within teams to find solutions.
  • Enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team who collaborate effectively to achieve exceptional results.

YOU'VE GOT:

  • 3+ years of UX/UI Design experience with strong expertise in app and web design in a productled organisation
  • A portfolio of professional design work for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Expertise in standard design tools such as Figma
  • Knowledge of UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobilefirst and responsive design.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Data Scientists and Engineers in a software development environment
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams
  • A clear understanding of the importance of usercentered design and design thinking
  • Ability to research design trends and movements and see how this can potentially be transferred into your work
  • Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design and to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Multitasking and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
