    Ventia is looking to engage the services of a
    Quality Coordinator who will drive service excellence on the internationally acclaimed
    Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO) Project. This is a Monday to Friday position working from either our Canning Vale or Welshpool office.

The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project is an international effort supported by 16 countries to build the world's largest radio telescopes, led by the SKAO. Our scope includes the provision of power and fibre networks, and the design and commission of a Central Processing Facility (CPF) and Remote Processing Facilities (RPF) at the Australian site.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will oversee day to day Quality Assurance and Control across multiple work fronts.

You will also work alongside the project management team to implement project specific management plans including HSE&Q, that align with Client standards.


Duties include:

  • Arranging and witnessing NDT as required
  • Maintaining welding, consumable and material registers
  • Conduct quality inspections and contribute to maintaining Ventia's internal audit schedule
  • Raise nonconformance's and oversee the corrective actions through the NCM process
  • Developing ITP's and checklists
  • Managing VOCs and training requirements, writing incident reports, conducting investigations and drive innovative quality initiatives
  • Gather data for the optimisation of processes, developing procedures and reports

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive experience as a Quality Advisor in construction projects
  • Proven strong ability to research information and find solutions
  • Proven experience Influencing work crews in a challenging construction environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, well organised, with the ability to complete projects on or ahead of time
  • Bachelor of Engineering (highly desirable) and Cert IV WHS qualification (or willing to obtain)
  • Valid Driver's Licence required
