The Role:
Hutcheon and Pearce are searching for an experienced and driven, Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our esteemed Gunnedah branch as a Foreman; a candidate who possesses exceptional leadership qualities and seeks to take their career to the next level. This position will be 20% admin and 80% on-the-tools.
The successful applicant would be expected to:
- Provide mechanical support and assistance to the workshop
- Coordinate and monitor the services and repairs in progress within the team
- Identify gaps and opportunities to further build efficiency and revenue through building relationships and exceeding customer expectations
- Support the team to perform service, repairs and maintenance on agricultural machinery
- Diagnose and interpret machine faults, and
- Collate and apprise each job card to ensure all details are documented correctly
The Ideal Candidate:
- Trade Qualified: Experience as a qualified Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic
- Capable: A confident leader with a knack for empowering and coaching your team with a sound knowledge of mechanical systems
- Self-motivated: Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Customer Focused: Strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure we exceed our customer's and partner's expectations every time
- Organised: Outstanding time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to ensure we meet our customer deadlines
