About the Role

LOCATION:

TOOWOOMBA

  • Assistance with all Personal Cares
  • Assistance/prompting with medication
  • Meal preparation and cooking
  • Light household duties
  • Maintain critical thinking and problemsolving abilities throughout shift
  • Must be proactive and take initiative
  • Working autonomously to provide appropriate levels of support to maintain and improve the participant's level of independence
  • Great communication skills
  • Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
  • Ability to work in partnership with NDIS participants to achieve their goals
  • A passion for assisting individuals who struggle with a disability to improve their quality of life

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who holds _a_ _minimum of a Certificate III in Individual Support_ (or equivalent) and the following qualifications:

  • Clear _Verbal and Written_ Communication
  • Critical thinking with the ability to problem solve must have basic 'common sense' and knows how to take initiative
  • Have a basic understanding of Mental Health
  • Experience with Mental Health _(not essential, but highly desired)_

Additionally, you will need:

  • Working with children card (Blue card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening check (Yellow Card)
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
  • Current Police Check
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Driver's License
  • Registered personal vehicle with comprehensive car insurance and a willingness to use for transporting clients (when required)
