The Directorate works to develop safe and vibrant places and deliver services and facilities to support a healthy, welcoming, and thriving community.

About the Position

The City manages multiple sport and recreation centers and is currently looking to expand its pool of qualified Gym Instructors to work across various Leisure Centres.

This role requires flexibility to work different shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Gym Instructor will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting fitness appraisals.
  • Designing individual programs for clients.
  • Supervising to ensure safe and effective use of gym equipment.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the Health & Fitness rooms and equipment.
  • Ensuring high standards of customer service.

Opportunities for additional work such as personal training and group fitness classes may be available.

About You

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't meet all the criteria, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. All applications will be considered.

  • AusActive Registration or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Health & Fitness or equivalent.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates.

  • Australian driving license.
