W Sydney is now casting for Full time Receiving Officer to manage day to day logistics, receiving of goods and maintaining of storerooms within the hotel.

The role reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Receiving officer's day-to-day responsibilities includes stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately and deliver merchandise. Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs. Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure accuracy. Secure the Storeroom and its contents. Post invoices using computer programs. Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs. Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.


To be successful as a Receiving Officer you will possess good time management skills and are deadline driven, highly skilled at multi-tasking and prioritising tasks.

You will have superior customer service skills as well as problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

To be pro-active and assist Logistics Manager / Purchasing Manager to streamline our logistics / delivery functions and operations and maintain highest ethical standards and confidentiality.


Talent Profile

Education & Experience Required

  • High school diploma
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • Hotel experience will be an advantage
  • Be able to lift packages up to 25kgs.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication and Microsoft Office skills, and a strong attention to detail
