Purpose of the After-Hours Frontline Rostering Officer role


As After-hours Frontline Rostering Officer at Achieve Australia, your primary goal is to create and maintain rosters for several of our sites.

This is a key role to ensuring our disability support services run efficiently.

This role is based at our Macquarie Park site and is required to work onsite from 5am to 1pm Monday to Friday.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage Master Rosters and coordinating daytoday rostering requirements across sites.
  • Directing and allocating resources as directed by the operation managers, ensuring business processes have been followed and exceptions manage.
  • Escalating any shifts that are unable to be filled and/or service issues within appropriate time frames and procedures.
  • Ensuring the information in Rostering System are accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Working closely with Service Managers to optimise workforce planning and cost effectiveness.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Rostering / scheduling / workforce planning experience.
  • Knowledge of rostering systems, HR practices and award principles.
  • Ability to build and maintain trust and confidence of stakeholders through building rapport, consistent performance and delivering on services.
  • Demonstrated customer focused communication skills incorporating the abilities of courtesy, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise a demanding workload.
  • Advanced computer literacy e.g., MS Office and Excel.
