Procurement Manager (6 Month Fixed Term)

THE ICONIC Finance Team consists of Financial Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Legal, Risk and Procurement.

A bit about the role


The Procurement Manager is responsible to provide leadership and support to the business by establishing connections between commercial needs, strategic sourcing, and resource savings.


Key deliverables include:

  • Lead transformational activities to build procurement function capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
  • Create and implement procurement strategies that are innovate, best practice and costeffective
  • Create and implement processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
  • Evaluate and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals
  • Provide procurement support and guidance to stakeholders
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce operational costs and improve effectiveness
  • Coach, mentor and develop direct reports (as required)
  • Operate in a fast paced environment with a continuous improvement mindset

Here's what you need to set you off on an ICONIC journey

  • You will be an enthusiastic procurement professional with significant experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement
  • Preferably a Fellow or Member of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)
  • Experienced leader of both people and transformation initiatives
  • Indepth knowledge of procurement process, procedures, sourcing, and strategy
  • Familiar with contract law, principles of negotiation, research and market analysis techniques, contract development and administration
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement of business processes and procedures
  • Multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Highly organised and detail oriented with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Experience in operating and influencing at a strategic level
  • Welldeveloped communication skills with the ability to initiate, establish and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
