Your new role:
As Production Coordinator, you safely coordinate and deliver a key phase of work during the Shipbuilding lifecycle.
The role requires coordination and leadership of a cross-functional team ensuring that safety, quality, cost and schedule for Ship construction meets program goals and deliverables.
Reporting to the Integrated Work Team (IWT) Manager you will be responsible for:- Supporting Phase Manager in delivering projects/outputs within a manufacturing environment, in accordance with the developed plan.
- Organise activities and tasks for specific projects. They shall ensure all activities associated with the manufacture, production and assembly/installation of components are completed in accordance with safety, design, quality and customer requirements.
- Coordination and deconfliction of Production activities in accordance with the Plan of the Day (POD).
- Facilitate production issue resolution, to ensure that holdups to schedule are minimised.
- Review performance analysis and perform root cause analysis in collaboration with the performance team.
- Support IWT Managers with Control Account and Contract Master Schedule reporting obligations.
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Working experience in a Production, Scheduling/ Production Coordinator type role, preferably in the heavy engineering industries or equivalent tertiary qualifications or production trade experience
- Working experience in the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Understanding of Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations requirements and processes
- Knowledge of effective use of Planning and scheduling processes, systems and tools
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
