Practice Manager - Consulting Suites - Hobart Private Hospital

Part Time (0.8 FTE - 30 hours per week)


Hobart Private Hospital is seeking experienced Practice Manager with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our Administration Team.

Hobart Private Hospital provide consulting suites for numerous leading specialists, physicians and surgeons.

As a Practice Manager in our Consulting Suites your responsibilities will be follows:

  • Five years experience in medical practice, preferable with experience as a practice manager.
  • General computer skills.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relationship management skills, ability to deal effectively with people.
  • Flexibility and initiative
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to manage staff and work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of private health insurance gap cover requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively to meet the needs of a diverse practitioner group.
  • Practice management / billing software skills.
  • Ability to identify confidential issues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Organisation skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Police Check
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People registration
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
