What you'll be working on

  • Providing planning advice to the community, applicants, developers and other stakeholders.
  • Preparing submissions and representing Council before the Victorian and Civil Administrative Tribunal.
  • Participating in the implementation of the department's Continuous Improvement initiatives.

What you need to succeed

  • A tertiary qualification in statutory planning or a related discipline.
  • A sound understanding of statutory planning legislations, the planning framework and planning principles as they operate in Victoria.
  • A focus on providing exceptional customer service and confidence in dealing with customers via various modes, in a clear and pleasant manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and competing priorities.
