Location: Perth, WA
Employment Type: 18 Month Contract
Our client in the utilities sector is looking for an experienced Project Manager to work within their Cyber Security Capability Team to help manage the uplift and implementation of various tools and controls across the organisation.
This role is for an initial 18 month contract which will oversee the 5 year cyber program where 14 different projects are currently in flight.
The successful candidate will work closely with the delivery partner and be responsible for delivery assurance, project oversight and project support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans that outline scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timelines
- Define project objectives and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
- Identify and analyse potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Identify potential cyber security threats and vulnerabilities that could impact the project
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks
- Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring that milestones are achieved on time and within scope
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of security measures and solutions before deployment
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and budget
- Assess the impact of changes and communicate them effectively to stakeholders
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in cyber security
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on cyber security projects
- Knowledge and experience working with various frameworks such as NIST and PCI-DSS
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, practices and technologies
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
While an understanding of cyber security is not an absolute essential to this role, applicants with a demonstrated experience and knowledge of cyber security principles will be strongly considered
