Our Community office is in Fingal Bay, one of NSW favourite holiday destinations PSVCAC is perfectly positioned to enjoy the Peninsula and the surrounding areas.

About the role

As a Home Care Employee (PCA) at PSVCAC you will be responsible for the delivery of care and services to our consumers in the community. You will provide support in line with the consumers physical, spiritual, social and cultural needs enabling them to maintain their own well-being and independence for as long as possible.

Reporting to the Case Manager, the purpose of the Home Care Employee is to provide our consumers with a range of care services in the community.

Shift times are AM 7am – 2pm and/or PM from 4pm – 8pm. We are looking for someone who can be available a minimum of 2 x PM shifts per week and at least 1 x Weekend shift per month.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria;

Essential:

  • Certificate III Individual Support – Ageing or equivalent (preferably with Medication Competency)
  • Current drivers licence and reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Awareness of WHS requirements, particularly manual handling and infection control
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Effective communication skills including verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate reliability
  • Ability to work independently or unsupervised in the community environment and good time management

Successful applicants will be asked to consent to a criminal record check, a pre-employment functional assessment, references, and must be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Clearance.
