About the role


Based at our
Kingston Branch, the Transport Coordinator is responsible for arranging the safest, most cost-effective, and efficient transport of equipment for the Coates Business.

This can be for interstate, intrastate or customer requirements.

A typical day will include

  • Source transport services for delivery and pickup of equipment for Coates
  • Schedule daily deliveries in Coates' transport management software using both Coates' drivers and contractor drivers.
  • Liaise with Fleet and Operations departments to ensure timely delivery and pickup of equipment.
  • Monthly invoicing for our transport providers.
  • Ensure Purchase orders are raised and completed within the given month.
  • Promote a Safety First, Zero Harm culture _champion safety with your colleagues and customers._

What you'll bring to the role
As well as having amazing customer service skills and a can-do, flexible attitude, you will have:

  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Effective time management and strong attention to detail
  • Proven Computer skills (ideally previous experience using Transport Management Systems)
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • A focus on delivering outstanding Customer Service
