The Role:

We have a full time permanent Water Supply Operator role based from Preston Reservoir Office.

Reporting to the Lead Operator you'll have the opportunity to make a difference and add to our work environment, within a place where you can learn and perform to your fullest potential.


This will be achieved through:

  • Managing daytoday and emergency operations of Melbourne Water's water supply assets.
  • Respond to alarms or emergencies and initiate incident management procedures.
  • Ensure environmental flow requirements are achieved.
  • Participate in chemical, asset, environmental, hazard, OH&S and building assessment audits as required.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with water/wastewater treatment processes
  • Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive and professional way with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems.
  • Certificate III or higher in Water/Wastewater Industry Operations is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in responding appropriately to all safety incidents, and maintaining the safety and welfare of yourself and your colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a systematic, wellorganised way to complete tasks according to established procedures.
