Job Description:

Join us as an Electrical and Controls Engineer to contribute to shaping the future of sustainable power in Australia. Working from either Altona, VIC or Wacol, QLD, you'll play a vital role in designing and executing BESS projects (Battery Energy Storage Systems) in close collaboration with our sales team. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing supplier selection, coordinating with subcontractors, and supporting the growth of our Off-Highway / Energy Solutions Team.

About you:
- Hold relevant tertiary Electrical Engineering qualifications
- Possess a keen interest and expertise in energy storage systems, including inverters, transformers, and electrical switchgear
- Demonstrated understanding of power systems and control systems
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer specializing in electrical systems design
- Proficiency in working with PLC systems and protection relays
- Familiarity with industry standards such as AS3000, AS3008, AS 61439, and others
- Ability to select switchgear and electrical components for auxiliary distribution
- Previous experience in an electrical switchboard production environment
- Skill in generating electrical schematics and single line drawings, preferably using AutoCAD Electrical
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD software, and business operating systems
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
