We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and dynamic applicant for the role of Director, Office of Alcohol and Other Drugs.

About the role

The Commission has recently established a dedicated Office for Alcohol and Other Drugs as part of broader reforms to improve leadership, accountability and coordination of the alcohol and other drugs system in Western Australia.

The Office of Alcohol and Other Drugs is responsible for informing, developing, and overseeing the Government's alcohol and other drugs strategy and system-wide strategic policy reform across the State. It will drive interagency coordination and strengthen intergovernmental and sector-wide relationships to achieve better outcomes for the Western Australian community in relation to alcohol and other drugs policy, programs and services.

The Director, Office of Alcohol and Other Drugs provides high-level, strategic leadership to support the Deputy Commissioner and broader Senior Executive Group in delivering the Government's reform priorities in relation to governance and strategic policy and planning.

Working closely with the Commission's Executive Leadership Group and other key government and non-government stakeholders, this role will influence future policy and strategy direction in order to strengthen and elevate a focus on alcohol and other drugs in alignment with the Commission's and Government's priorities and strategic objectives.
