The opportunity:

To do this successfully you will:

  • Develop the retention strategy for the existing portfolio and execute against the annual renewal cycle
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to manage and grow accounts
  • Manager the Corproate Client Development Team instilling best of class service approach and delivery to our broker/partner clients
  • Drive improvements in our relationship management approach across our brokers, driving the continued improvement in our client development model
  • Retain clients and build strong, trusting relationships with the broking market
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal teams to deliver solutions
  • Work with internal business lines such as pricing, product and claims to develop a one team go to market approach and strategy
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and proposing new tools and processes.
Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working within the life insurance/superannuation industry
  • Tertiary qualified in a related discipline preferred
  • A deep understanding of the drivers of life insurance and knowledge of the Acts and legislation that govern the industry
  • People management skills and the ability to motivate, develop, nuture and grow a team
  • Excellent Strategic, communication, negotiation and relationship skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • The proven ability to network and build strong client relationships
  • The ability to represent AIA externally
  • High level skills in the use of Microsoft Office
