The Corporate Facilities team has a great fixed-term opportunity for an experienced facilities manager to join the team as
Team Leader Property Services (AS7).


The team are responsible for the 24x7 services operation of the corporate building portfolio which range from critical high-rise office accommodation infrastructure to operational depots and low-rise office accommodation buildings.


About the role


Reporting to the Manager Corporate Facilities, you will lead a small team consisting of internal staff and external contractors to deliver a combination of hard and soft maintenance services.

This role is key in providing the compliance, governance, safety and reliability of infrastructure assets, including multi-story and multi-tenanted Queensland Rail buildings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • In line with strategic direction, governance frameworks and relevant legislation and policy, manage the effective and efficient operations of hard and soft service maintenance of the corporate property portfolio consistent with business requirements and customer needs.
  • Coordination of risk, governance and emergency management strategies, maintenance management including planning, time, resourcing, costing, procurement, cash flow in line with programmed work.
  • Oversee performance and provide leadership of the Property Services
  • Maintenance team which currently has approximately 16 direct reports consisting of internal staff and outsourced contractors including security and cleaning personnel.
  • Ensure all building management systems are kept up dated and able to produce accurate reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally in the management of multistorey, highrise buildings and the 24hour operation of critical infrastructure, where you can be available to support situations that may arise outside standard work hours/weekends.
  • Experience within a broad range of both hard and soft building maintenance services including Building Management Systems, HVAC, fire and electrical systems, Vertical Transport, security, emergency management and cleaning.
  • Extensive knowledge of building industry technology, design principles and construction practices including all relevant acts, legislation, building codes and regulations especially as they relate to multistory buildings, preferably with strong commercial and government sector operational industry experience/knowledge.
  • Strong oral and written communication with the ability to quickly build strong repour amongst a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Independent and selfdirected leadership skills in a similar sized organisation.
