Claims Assistant

This position involves supporting customers through claims lodgment and information gathering to assess claims, handling all administration of claims files with accuracy and in line with company processes and policies. The Claims Assistant also assesses low complexity claims and provides suitable support options tailored to customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer claims files and policy systems meticulously
  • Process customer amendments post-claims
  • Provide support for day-to-day claims management processes
  • Assist with customer and partner stakeholder management
  • Manage communication with customers and clients efficiently
  • Service various claims IVRs including claim queries and notifications
  • Respond to all claimant enquiries promptly
  • Handle low complexity claims
  • Resolve escalations and complaints expediently

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years experience in customer service
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build rapport and demonstrate empathy
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of medical terminology (desired)
