Job description:


A new service centre assistant is required to join a Brisbane-based local government department on a contract basis until 26/01/2024.


In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with ICT incidents and service requests.

Your commitment to excellence, technical expertise, and interpersonal skills will contribute to achieving our service level agreements and maintaining our reputation for outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide topnotch customer service, resolving ICT incidents and service requests, aiming for "fixonfirstcontact" solutions to uphold our Service Level Agreements.
  • Contribute to the fulfillment of service requests, including accurate logging and documentation of new requests.
  • Cultivate positive, professional relationships with both ISB customers and fellow staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Continuously develop your technical skills and knowledge to enhance the delivery of ICT services. Share insights and knowledge with team members to optimise technical capabilities.
  • Set an example of customercentric behaviour, delivering the highest standards of service to our diverse customer base.
  • Collaborate closely with your team leader to define performance standards and mutual expectations. Engage in regular feedback sessions to improve performance and take ownership of personal growth within the organisation.

Essential:

  • Willingness to engage in incident management and service request fulfillment within a service centre or equivalent environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication abilities to ensure highquality customer interactions.
  • Proven organisational skills, with the capacity to adhere to documented processes and prioritise multiple demands to meet agreedupon service standards.
  • An understanding of information technology principles, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
  • Ability to actively contribute to team goals, provide and receive constructive feedback, and achieve established performance standards, thus fostering a culture of performance excellence.
