About the Role:

The Asset Manager is responsible for managing operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts for Beon, where they are a key client interface. The role is responsible for ensuring all work is delivered in a safe and timely manner, ensuring risks are mitigated and that client and business objectives are achieved.

This position is responsible for contributing to maintenance process improvement and other agreed Beon business and people/culture improvement opportunities over time. The role is also responsible for further developing and sustaining a productive and healthy team culture aligned with Beon vision, values and latest direction.

This role is predominately based in our Melbourne CBD office, with occasional travel to sites.

In this role you will deliver:


• Understand and manage contracts to ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, to the required quality, ensuring OH&S and environmental standards, along with customer and commercial requirements are satisfied.

• Provide commercial support to ensure compliance with relevant commercial agreements including those of Beon's subcontractors.

• Liaise with site/project delivery teams to ensure works are conducted efficiently and effectively from a cost perspective.

• Liaise with clients and provide relevant progress reports.

• Report on project/asset performance including actions, to ensure objectives and targets are achieved.

• Provide feedback and guidance to the engineering group, business development and contracts teams to assist in the improvement of business decisions and scope during the negotiation of new projects.

• Develop and improve asset management systems within agreed scope and budget.

To succeed in this role you will have:


• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (required).

• Strong knowledge of contract management, asset management and maintenance practices.

• Proven ability to apply asset management principles, preferably in an electrical generation, distribution, sub-transmission, transmission and/or infrastructure environment.

• Demonstrated commitment and evidence of consistently delivering, managing and working with others aligned with organisational values.

• Working knowledge of the operations and maintenance of electrical assets.

• Excellent relationship building skills to work pragmatically and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
