About the Opportunity

With over 100 personnel currently on site, PIMS Group are now seeking motivated individuals with Underground Coal Experience to contribute to the success of this operation for a range of works. Opportunities within the Whynot Bord and Pillar operation are vital to operational success making this a unique chance for seasoned underground coal professional to showcase their expertise and contribute to the common goals of this operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain underground equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency;
  • Install, commission, maintain and operate underground mining equipment;
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults;
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance ensuring minimal downtime;
  • Execute specialised tasks related to underground operations in accordance with Maxwell Mine SHMS;
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of professionals to achieve project goals;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of mining processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience with Signed Transcripts as an Underground Tradespersons;
  • Certificate of proficiency in an electrical or mechanical trade;
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures;
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and in challenging underground environments;
  • Excellent problem solving skills and a proactive approach to each day on tour.
