About Role:

With our community expanding, the need to grow our team is imminent. We are searching for a dynamic, optimistic, and seasoned Lead Horticulturalist to come on board.

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrated hands-on experience and qualifications (Certificate III or higher) in Horticulture
• Current MR Drivers license
• Construction Induction Certificate (NSW White Card)
• Advanced understanding of horticultural practices and best techniques
• Extensive background in formulating and executing horticultural maintenance programs for prominent public areas
• Able to evaluate and compile reports on horticultural and urban presentation maintenance programs
• Thorough expertise in various horticultural maintenance services, such as pest and disease control, landscaping, weed management, and plant nourishment
• Strong awareness of Work Health and Safety, environmental considerations, and risk assessment in open space horticulture work
• Vast experience in overseeing a team responsible for maintaining the appearance of a city, substantial garden, or estate
• Past involvement and demonstrated skill in team management, staff motivation, conflict resolution, and task coordination
• Proven interpersonal skills and experience in customer service management
• Capable of multitasking and addressing inquiries from various stakeholders
• Thorough understanding of urban presentation challenges
• Proficiency in maintaining regional parklands or other landscapes with high visitor traffic
• Demonstrated experience in devising specifications and offering specialized advice on urban forests, parklands, and horticultural assets
• Extensive experience in operating horticultural machinery and plants
