Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd Full time

Want to bring ideas to life?

You're in the right place. If you're looking for a fresh challenge, why choose Aurecon? It comes down to one, crucial question. What kind of world do you want to create for the next generation? Truth is, the decisions being made right now will determine the future of everything – from the local community to the entire planet. One of those decisions is: who do you decide to work for?

How will your ideas contribute to shaping what's next?

Our NSWACT Workplace team is looking for a Workplace Experience Coordinator to be a vital part of how we deliver an excellent Workplace Experience in our Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra offices.

Our Workplace Experience team is based in the Concierge/Welcome Lounge area of our Sydney office, and as part of the team you'll communicate our brand through creating an inclusive, welcoming environment and providing elevated and memorable experiences for clients, visitors, and employees.

We're looking for someone who will bring their skills and capabilities to drive and elevate all we do in our Workplace Experience space. We want a person who enjoys a challenge, using data and insights, to understand what a good customer experience looks like, then have the vision and aptitude to deliver.

This is a great role for someone who is passionate about Workplace Experience, and is keen to develop their skills and career in an exciting ambitious new team.

Your role will include:

  • Creating a welcoming, on-brand first point of contact for clients, visitors, and guests from our concierge point in the welcome space.
  • Leading the service offering of our Concierge and Welcome Space services. Managing the organisation of the welcome floor, Eminence space and adjacent meeting rooms.
  • Providing a proactive level of service by:
    • anticipating client and visitor needs
    • managing practical requirements such as security passes and WiFi access
    • providing prompt response to requests
    • taking initiative by troubleshooting problems and finding solutions.
  • Working with the Workplace Experience team to manage the region's office phone lines.
  • Supporting our Workplace Experience team in the coordination of office-based events and activations.
  • Support the delivery of our Workplace Communications plan, including coordination of Digital Signage, SharePoint site and other forms of communication.
  • Proactively engaging with internal stakeholders, external clients, and vendors to develop and maintain strong relationships with the view to model good experience delivery for the business.
  • Developing a thorough knowledge of the business and local area and be able to research and find information on any topic relevant to the situation using reliable sources and tools.
  • Working with the broader Workplace team to continuously improve the workplace experience across the region.

How will your future be shaped by us?

Joining Aurecon means you'll be at the award-winning edge of innovation and sustainability. AFR ranked us Top 5 among sustainability leaders and Top 3 of all innovative companies in professional services. One Consult awarded us an innovative design award. Plus, we were Consult Australia's large firm of the year.

You really can bring your whole self to work and be confident your voice will be heard. We don't just claim we're inclusive and innovative, as proven by the independent awards and accreditations we've gained. We've been recognised for our innovation culture, gender equality and our LGBTI+ inclusion. Plus, we have a robust Reconciliation Action Plan – our fourth edition since 2014.

When it comes to your development, you'll be supported on every step of your career journey with mentoring, leadership training, and our Career Hub. Outside of work, you'll be further supported with highly competitive paid parental leave, cultural public holiday swaps, plus wellbeing support programs.

What are we looking for from you?

You'll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future.

We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.

As well as experience in a similar role. Specifically:

  • Proven experience in a people centric, client or customer service focused role
  • Prior experience or training in the catering or event management industry will be highly regarded but is not essential
  • Ability to quickly learn digital collaboration tools and new systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication
  • Collaborative team player with the confidence to influence up, down and across the organisation
  • Personable and enthusiastic nature, genuine passion for providing an elevated service and ability to create an inclusive and welcoming environment
  • Self-starter who is adaptable, resilient and thrives in a fast paced, exciting, people centric environment

It's our people who imagine and co-create with our clients a better future for people and the planet. Of course, you'll probably know lots of our award-winning projects. The new Allianz Stadium in Sydney? That was us. Tāmaki Regeneration in Auckland? That was us too. And the Tseung Kwan O Interchange in Hong Kong? You guessed it, us.
