Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the warehouse activities on day shift in the warehouse and to meet the daily schedule.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Operate forklift or other mobile equipment.
  • Works in the warehouse team to achieve the daily schedule which includes:
  • Pick, wrap and stage orders to be shipped;
  • Loading/Unloading from containers and trucks;
  • The transfer of finished goods, raw materials and yarn;
  • Replenish raw material kanbans;
  • Perform Cycle Counts as required;
  • Stocktakes;
  • Attendings to client pickups;
  • Use of RF Scanner Equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory.
  • Relief duties for Leading Hand as necessary.
  • Correct problems in a timely fashion and seeks help when unsure.
  • Provide input to resolving inventory and other issues that may arise.
  • Trains and develops the skills of others as necessary.
  • Follows the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and refresher courses.
  • Demonstrate safe working behaviours
  • Actively participate in safety correction system
  • Adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate Quality & Environment working behaviours.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • High-Reach Forklift Licence
  • Certificate III in Transport/Warehouse would be desirable.
  • 5+ Years' experience operating powered forklifts.
  • A sound level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Word and Excel
  • A high level of attention to details.
