This Crew Leader role, based at our Erina Depot, will be responsible for the delivery of general maintenance, predominantly in the area of roads and drainage.


Within this role you will plan maintenance works to deliver quality projects efficiently and cost effectively through maximising the utilisation of materials, plant and staff.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

_ Key activities of this role include:_

  • You will be out and about in the field supervising a team of staff and occasionally contractors and external service providers for the maintenance of council infrastructure
  • Carry out duties and responsibilities in a manner that complies with all legislation and Council policies relating to the WHS, Environmental Management and relevant construction standards and codes
  • Complete and maintain all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance requirements, drawings, specifications, policies and legislation, including but not limited to Asset Management, WHS and Environmental Management System
  • Manage procurement of materials and services as required to progress maintenance works
  • Undertake training for red and orange traffic control cards which may be required further in the role

_Essential Criteria:
_

  • Valid Construction General Induction card
  • NSW WorkCover or equivalent
  • Current MR Class Driver Licence
  • Current SafeWork Traffic Controller (TCR) Licence and Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP) Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of civil works, roads and drains
  • Demonstrated experience in large and small plant associated with civil works
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience of day labour employees and the delivery of maintenance projects

This role provides a commencing salary range of $1,128.98 to $1,345.32 per week ($58,865.02 to $70,614.24 per annum) + Superannuation.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role.
