Duty Statement

Classification: Parliamentary Executive Level 1

Branch: Parliamentary Engagement Branch

Section: Visitor Engagement

Immediate supervisor: Director, Visitor Engagement

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Executive Level 1 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Work with the Director, Visitor Engagement, to lead the successful delivery of visitor engagement services at Parliament House.

2. Manage operational delivery for the section, including oversight of rostering, procurement, booking systems and concierge services.

3. Establish and maintain strategic and productive collaboration with internal stakeholders, Security, Property, Catering, Human Resources, and IT sections, together with external stakeholders including the Department of the House of Representatives and the Department of the Senate.

4. Develop, and maintain section policies and procedures and ensure their timely compliance with Departmental frameworks and the goals of the Visitor Engagement team.

5. Support the Director in the leadership of the Visitor Engagement section, including developing capability, and managing performance, meeting health and safety obligations and training requirements.

6. Manage the delivery of tourism initiatives and projects for the branch.

7. Represent the Director, Visitor Engagement, as required, in a range of forums to ensure constructive collaboration and delivery of strategic goals.
