About You

  • A degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers and alignment with relevant professional practice standards.
  • Clinical expertise in the area of violence, abuse and neglect with demonstrated high level skills in child protection risk assessment and decision making.
  • Understanding of child protection and privacy principles and practice, and a demonstrated knowledge of the legislative context, relevant Acts and NSW Health policies regarding child protection with particular focus on information exchange in the context of the Child and Young Person (Care and Protection) Act 199
  • Selfmotivated and skilled in effective time management, prioritising competing work commitments, managing, and responding to stressful situations and ability to work unsupervised.

Where You'll Be Working
The position is co-located with the agency partners at Hely Street Wyong at CCMARC


The Social Worker in CCMARC utilises advanced clinical skills to assess and advise on the release of health information and participates in the joint assessment and planning of multi-agency response to child wellbeing and protection concerns.


They are a key advocate for contextualising health information and services in the child protection context to assist agency partners in decision making.

Working closely with government and non-government partners to effectively and efficiently share information and advocate for a coordinated and evidence-based response.
